Winter 2010/11 Summary

A winter of consolidation.  All teams managed to stay in their respective divisions with the exception of the Ladies 1 NK team who successfully saw off all the opposition and reached the finals gaining promotion.  A team of Lorna, Lesley D, Judy and Alice played against Bexley in the final but unfortunately lost.

Well done to all players this winter - without you we'd have no teams!

Summer 2010 Summary

We've had a successful summer 2010.  The Mens 1 NK team retained their title as Champions for the 2nd successive year.  Lee Donovan captained a team of Tim Fitzpatrick, Tim Baker, Duncan Smith, Mikey Suleau, Will Jewiss, Sam Hadden, Richard Pannell and James Langworthy and it all came down to the last match against Wendover where the title was decided - a comprehensive win of 6-0 gave them the Championship.

The Mens Kent 1 team also became Champions for the first time.  More on this on the home page.

The Ladies 1 Kent team narrowly missed out on promotion only being beaten on rubbers.  All other teams were successful in staying up.

I would like to thank all those who entered this year's tournament.  Its a great event to take part in and it would be lovely to see more people enter next year.  If you have any suggestions or want to help in running next year's tournament, let me know - help is always appreciated!!

I would also personally like to thank Pam who always provides a fantastic service in the kitchen - without her, how would we have survived the afternoon?!  Thanks also goes to everyone I harrassed to bring along cakes and raffle prizes - Lorna's cheesecake was particularly scrummy and we raised £20 on the sale of cakes.  Big thanks also to my little helpers - Lauran, Stacie and Keeley in their relentless efforts during the afternoon to sell raffle tickets - their selling power and your buying power raised £80 !!  Well done all.
